1. Is Corian® expensive?
Corian® is a unique solid surfacing material that is characterized by its smooth, seamless appearance, its formability and its compatibility with other materials. The costs for this material vary depending on a number of factors, including color and finish, your design, fabrication source, construction management and the complexity of the installation.

Corian® offers exceptional durability that you seldom get with other conventional materials. Not only can it withstand most of the challenges of daily use, it can be renewed if the surface does become marred. And because Corian® is solid throughout, nicks, scratches and cuts can be easily removed and the surface restored to its original appearance. As a result, replacement occurs less frequently, so over time, Corian® is actually less expensive.

If you damage Corian®, in most cases it can be repaired. To prevent heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet to protect your Corian®. Hot pans, as well as some heat-generating appliances like frying pans or electric cooking pots, can damage the surface if a hot pad or trivet is not used.
